First, I would like to say I am sorry you and your wonderful old dog are struggling with health and vaccine issues. I am sure the vets you are speaking with feel they are educating you to be a good dog owner.

The fact is the entire veterinary world has known of the vaccine research that has been going on for over a decade. This is why the vets have changed some of the protocol to 3 year vaccines. I might suggest educating yourself in the homeopathic and holistic veterinary world by sunning a google search in this field. I would like to suggest searching for a vet in your area that follows the homeopathic/holistic views.

After working for 3 vet hospitals for over 15 years, NONE of the vets would have vaccinated an older dog like yours when I worked there. I have also been in contact with the vaccine manufacturers and Cornell University which is only 1 hour from our home and Inn. At this point 27 of the teaching vet colleges in the US are NOT recommending annual vaccines due to health related problems. In fact, there was a study on 1600 dogs in the UK done about 10 years ago. EVERY single dog had a reaction of minor to major reactions with in a 3-4 month period including death. I will try to find more of that information for you. You may be able to google that too.
